Overview

This is the new Multipurpose Sports Activities Building of the University of Thessaly, located in Volos, Greece. The main structural system is made of reinforced concrete, while the roof structure will be constructed from structural steel. The foundation of the building is on a raft supported by piles. The structural design was carried out in accordance with the Greek Building Code and the Eurocodes. The software used for the design and detailing included ETABS, REVIT, AUTOCAD, and IDEA StatiCA.
